The six featured artists came from various corners of the world, as the artworks were different by technique and subject. With this review, we would like to thank all artists for their support.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.artificialis.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/Bucket-and-ReflectionWeb.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-7195 size-thumbnail\" src=\"https:\/\/www.artificialis.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/Bucket-and-ReflectionWeb-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\"><\/a>In January, \u201c<span style=\"color: #2c80aa;\"><a style=\"color: #2c80aa;\" href=\"?p=7194\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Bucket &amp; Reflection<\/a><\/span>\u201d by the Australian painter <span style=\"color: #2c80aa;\"><a style=\"color: #2c80aa;\" href=\"?page_id=7202\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Cally Lotz<\/a><\/span> seemed to be a photorealistic oil painting. Nevertheless, it turned out to be a strongly conceived arrangement.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.artificialis.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/FATA-MORGANA30.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-7208 size-thumbnail\" src=\"https:\/\/www.artificialis.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/FATA-MORGANA30-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\"><\/a>Even though a photo, <span style=\"color: #2c80aa;\"><a style=\"color: #2c80aa;\" href=\"?page_id=7772\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Alessia Rollo<\/a><\/span>\u2019s image of her series \u201c<span style=\"color: #2c80aa;\"><a style=\"color: #2c80aa;\" href=\"?p=7207\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Fata Morgana<\/a><\/span>\u201d appears mysterious and the artist intends some uncertainty. Not only in our chosen picture, but also in the whole series the artist plays with the ambiguous image in the media of her home region Salento, in the south of Italy<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.artificialis.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/Betty-Zanelli-Door-1986-small.jpeg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-7762 size-thumbnail\" src=\"https:\/\/www.artificialis.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/Betty-Zanelli-Door-1986-small-150x150.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\"><\/a>With the Italian artist <span style=\"color: #2c80aa;\"><a style=\"color: #2c80aa;\" href=\"?page_id=2170\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Betty Zanelli<\/a><\/span>, we travelled back into time to review an initially preparatory sketch for a door leaf from 1986. However, the collage can stand as independent artwork. \u201c<span style=\"color: #2c80aa;\"><a style=\"color: #2c80aa;\" href=\"?p=7761\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Door, NY, 1986<\/a><\/span>\u201d implies Betty\u2019s reflections about history and contemporaneity and is still relevant today.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #2c80aa;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.artificialis.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/Voronezh-small.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-7769 size-thumbnail\" src=\"https:\/\/www.artificialis.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/Voronezh-small-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\"><\/a><a style=\"color: #2c80aa;\" href=\"?page_id=7770\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Tamara Stoffers<\/a><\/span> from the Netherlands heads with her photo collages also into the past and a state, bygone before her birth. \u201c<span style=\"color: #2c80aa;\"><a style=\"color: #2c80aa;\" href=\"?p=7768\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Voronezh<\/a><\/span>\u201d from her series \u201c1971\u201d, seems to reanimate the soviet socialist realism, though her images have an uncharacteristic ease.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.artificialis.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/Katerina-Belkina-Salome-naar-Salome-met-het-hoofd-van-Johannes-de-Doper-Jacob-Cornelisz.-van-Oostsanen-1524-small.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-7955 size-thumbnail\" src=\"https:\/\/www.artificialis.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/Katerina-Belkina-Salome-naar-Salome-met-het-hoofd-van-Johannes-de-Doper-Jacob-Cornelisz.-van-Oostsanen-1524-small-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\"><\/a>The Russian artist <span style=\"color: #2c80aa;\"><a style=\"color: #2c80aa;\" href=\"?page_id=7956\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Katerina Belkina<\/a><\/span> went the opposite direction of time travel. She transferred the traditional Salome from biblical times into the present. \u201c<span style=\"color: #2c80aa;\"><a style=\"color: #2c80aa;\" href=\"?p=7954\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Receiving Orders. Salome and St. John<\/a><\/span>\u201d from the series \u201cRevival\u201d refers not only to historical models, but also to contemporary concerns.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.artificialis.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Inversion-II-2stills.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-8059 size-thumbnail\" src=\"https:\/\/www.artificialis.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Inversion-II-2stills-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\"><\/a>With the video \u201c<span style=\"color: #2c80aa;\"><a style=\"color: #2c80aa;\" href=\"?p=8040\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Inversion II<\/a><\/span>\u201d, the Cuban artist <a href=\"?page_id=8042\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"color: #2c80aa;\">Glenda Le\u00f3n<\/span><\/a> formally inversed images and processes.
