Hereby, the artists are from various countries \u2013 Australia, Switzerland, Peru\/France, France, Italy and England. Due to the different cultural influences, ranges of age and personal experiences, the subjects and techniques were diversified. Four of the chosen artists have been already featured before, two are new at our website.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.artificialis.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/Cally_Lotz_Conversation_2024_Oil_on_Paper_20.2_x_13.2_cms_680_optimized_500.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-15283 size-thumbnail\" title=\"Cally Lotz: Conversation, 2024, Oil on paper, 20,2 cm x 13,2 cm \" src=\"https:\/\/www.artificialis.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/Cally_Lotz_Conversation_2024_Oil_on_Paper_20.2_x_13.2_cms_680_optimized_500-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\"><\/a>January<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>With <span style=\"color: #2c80aa;\"><a style=\"color: #2c80aa;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.artificialis.eu\/?page_id=7202\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cally Lotz<\/a><\/span>, we started the year with an artist, who concentrates on painting. In contrast to her first Artwork of the Month in January 2019, which was executed in a photorealistic manner, the Australian painter now experimented in \u201c<span style=\"color: #2c80aa;\"><a style=\"color: #2c80aa;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.artificialis.eu\/?p=15282\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Conversation<\/a><\/span>\u201d with a more expressive style.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.artificialis.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/Expiation_4_JacomellaSM-scaled.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-15287 size-thumbnail alignright\" title=\"Patricia Jacomella Bonola: Expiation, 2020, Wool object \u00d8 80 cm\" src=\"https:\/\/www.artificialis.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/Expiation_4_JacomellaSM-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\"><\/a>February<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Also, <span style=\"color: #2c80aa;\"><a style=\"color: #2c80aa;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.artificialis.eu\/?page_id=9063\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Patricia Jacomella Bonola<\/a><\/span>, already offered an Artwork of the Month in May 2020. It was a video. Corresponding to the large variety of artistic media of the Swiss creative, we have chosen a different technique. \u201c<span style=\"color: #2c80aa;\"><a style=\"color: #2c80aa;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.artificialis.eu\/?p=15286\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Expiation<\/a><\/span>\u201d is a sculptural object. Despite the seemingly simplicity of the work &#8211; an oversized ball of wool &#8211; the material, the execution and the references are complex.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.artificialis.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Titelbild1.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-15518 size-thumbnail\" title=\"Gloria Li Mir: Tabernacle (Autoportrait), 1976, Acrylic on canvas stretched on wood 90 cm x 100\" src=\"https:\/\/www.artificialis.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Titelbild1-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\"><\/a>March<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Our 100th Artwork of the Month was dedicated to the late <span style=\"color: #2c80aa;\"><a style=\"color: #2c80aa;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.artificialis.eu\/?page_id=34\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Gloria Li Mir<\/a><\/span>. The Peruvian\/French artist was our first featured artist in February 2015. Ten years later, we presented Gloria\u2019s \u201c<span style=\"color: #2c80aa;\"><a style=\"color: #2c80aa;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.artificialis.eu\/?p=15516\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tabernacle (Self-portrait)<\/a><\/span>\u201d from 1976. It is a shrine, which bears surprises, when opening it.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.artificialis.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/ElyseGalianoArticle-scaled.jpeg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-15522 size-thumbnail\" title=\"Elyse Galiano: C\u2019\u00e9tait le bon temps, le sexisme p\u00e9pouze. 2024, White men\u2019s shirt, embroidered with natural hair, framed 44,5 cm x 68,5 cm\" src=\"https:\/\/www.artificialis.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/ElyseGalianoArticle-150x150.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\"><\/a>April<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For the exhibition \u201cSexisme p\u00e9pouze\u201d <span style=\"color: #2c80aa;\"><a style=\"color: #2c80aa;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.artificialis.eu\/?page_id=6388\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Elyse Galiano<\/a><\/span> created \u201c<span style=\"color: #2c80aa;\"><a style=\"color: #2c80aa;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.artificialis.eu\/?p=15521\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">C\u2019\u00e9tait le bon temps, le sexisme p\u00e9pouze.<\/a><\/span>\u201d (It was the good time, when sexism was easy-going.) Like in her previous works, presented in March 2018 and October 2021 the French artist employed natural hair. Even though her focus is once again on women, this time she did not point to the more domestic environment, but the public sphere.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.artificialis.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/ManuelaVallicelliBorder.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-15525 size-thumbnail\" title=\"Manuela Vallicelli: Border, 2025 powder pigments on canvas, 100 cm x 150 cm \" src=\"https:\/\/www.artificialis.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/ManuelaVallicelliBorder-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\"><\/a>May<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A new discovery was <span style=\"color: #2c80aa;\"><a style=\"color: #2c80aa;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.artificialis.eu\/?page_id=15526\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Manuela Vallicelli<\/a><\/span>. Her painting \u201c<span style=\"color: #2c80aa;\"><a style=\"color: #2c80aa;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.artificialis.eu\/?p=15524\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Border<\/a><\/span>\u201d seems to represent a landscape. However, the Italian artist paints out of her inner sources. Therefore, the contemplator might recognise elements, depending on their personal experience. In contrast to Manuela\u2019s sources of inspiration, the young London artist employs history and art history to create new images. For \u201c<span style=\"color: #2c80aa;\"><a style=\"color: #2c80aa;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.artificialis.eu\/?p=15532\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Unbound<\/a><\/span>\u201d she suspended an androgyne person in space and time.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>With this review of our first six Artworks of the Month, we initiate our summer break.
